- Robin Roberts Win The Bandimere Great 8 Due to Ryan Martin’s Mistake
Street Outlaws NPK racers John Odom and Robin Roberts battle it out in the Great 8 finals at Bandimere Speedway for $15,000. At one time, both John Odom and Robin Roberts want nothing to do with Street Outlaws No Prep Kings but the win at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado. Robin Roberts defeated Kye Kelley, while John Odom won over Ryan Martin in the semi-finals to advance to the final with Robin Roberts. Fans are arguing about one of the rarest things at Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings event, when Ryan Martin jump red, meaning that Fireball Camaro move before the green came on! Photo by Robin Roberts Racing Facebook With the win, Roberts received the $15,000 purse. He got 20 points and now tied fifth place with team NOLA driver Scott Taylor, passing up Jerry Bird at sixth place. Roberts will try to double up this weekend as he will attempt to win the Invitational on Saturday. - Update on Lizzy Musi Crash at NPK Tucson
Lizzy Musi enjoyed and endured the highs and lows of racing and life within a single day as the “Street Outlaws No Prep Kings” series stormed through Arizona out at Tucson Dragway last weekend. Musi, in her Robert Hayes Race Cars-built 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, known as “Bonnie,” shot out ahead, securing what would have been a solid win against Ryan Martin in the Fireball Camaro when she appeared to lose control of Bonnie. Unfortunately, she struck the barrier on the driver's side then crossed the lines over to the other lane, hitting the opposite concrete barrier on the passenger side. Lizzy Musi was sent to the hospital for a routine evaluation, but thankfully there was no immediate injury. Photo by Upshift 360 Lizzy’s car after the crash at NPK Tucson 2022 Video by Upshift 360 In an Instagram post from her father, Pat Musi, he assured fans she was doing OK. After thanking them for their concern, Pat began by letting everyone know that Lizzy "got the second-round win over Ryan Martin." It's a bit strange to start with the race results then ease into Lizzy's health status from there. "She got out of the car on her own and was taken to the hospital for observation and released," he said. Pat went on to give the car's design a shoutout because it was craftmanship that kept Lizzy safe. "The Robert Hayes-built car and all the safety equipment did its job," said Pat. According to him, the car is currently being repaired and they will be back. Photo by Pat Musi Racing Engine Instagram At the moment the Nola couple Lizzy Musi and Kye Kelley are the only ones that can put Ryan’s championship in danger just like last year when they did not manage to keep the gray Fireball Camaro behind them at the races. Photo by Discovery UK As you may or may not know, it was a final like no other and instead of the usual suspects, we had Kyla Morton and John Odom racing for the $40,000 prize. While Kyla Morton had proven to be the fastest car in the competition, we believe that the fastest car on the property is featured in the video that we are bringing you, so in a way, this is the finals before the finals since these two are the cars to beat at Tucson this weekend. Photo by Kayla Morton Racing "Hot Mess Express" Facebook Photo by Kayla Morton Racing "Hot Mess Express" Facebook After this weekend we still have Ryan Martin at the top of the leaderboard with 500 points, being followed, not so closely, by Kye Kelley with 380 points, and then it’s Lizzy Musi from Justin Swanstrom with Scott Taylor rounding up the top five. Photo by No Prep FAM So let us check out the race and see who gets in trouble at the big end. Video by Upshift 360 The “No Prep Kings” series will be back in action this weekend in Morrison, CO at Bandimere Speedway for one of the last 5 events of this year.
- Jeff Lutz’s FIRST EVER WIN Against Big Chief
When we’re talking Street Outlaws season with big names showing up, we can expect that there will be plenty of drama. This comes not only behind-the-scenes but also on the track. These guys are really the best in the business and are going to bring their A-game to the table. This ends up creating some matchups that we have absolutely got to see. This season of Street Outlaws features Jeff Lutz and Big Chief working together as a team much closer than the rest of the guys. Additionally, this might be the race that holds one of them back from America’s List. Just the other day, when Big Chief was going to race Ryan Martin, it was Jeff Lutz in Chief’s corner trying to help him figure out what they are going to do when it came to the starting light. Even Ryan knew that these guys are so close that Jeff will tell Chief everything he hears from him about the starting procedure and whether Ryan will jump, sit or just go on time whenever the light turns on. Two of the most beloved cars on the show faced off recently and threw down one of the best side by side races we’ve seen. They both need the win so they can secure their spot on America’s List and at the moment both of them can end up staying in Oklahoma as the rest of the 405 racers like Ryan Martin, Daddy Dave, Monza, and whoever wins this travel around the country representing the 405. In a true team-like decision, Chief lets Jeff choose his preferred lane and ends up in the left. While Ryan Martin has shown that you can go extremely fast in both lanes, we have to realize that not all cars are as capable as that Fireball Camaro and not all of these guys have the right tune for both lanes. Jeff Lutz and Big Chief take the stage once again in Chicago to see who qualifies for the next 405. Both of them will be turning the power way up, on their machines and push the limit of what this road can take, because like we said this might be the deciding race of who gets to race with the best in the country, and who gets to stay home and watch the rest of the 405 on TV, so check out this great race and enjoy. - 405 Hits the Streets in Street Outlaws Endgame
Street Outlaws gives viewers an inside look into the world of American street racing. It shows the best mechanics, engineers and drivers showing off their skills. Well, “End Game” refers to a new Street Outlaws series the gang are filming right now that’s joined by 405, NOLA, Memphis team and so on. Photo by Street Outlaws Facebook Fans have spotted some drivers posting a lot recently on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag “End Game” as they were building their car for this spin-off, such as Murder Nova, Ryan Martin, Kye Kelley, JJ Da Boss… When fans take a look at the competition on Street Outlaws, plenty probably don’t exactly realize just how much effort it takes to be successful in just about any form of racing. Sure, we see a small subset of what it takes to win on the television show. However, TV doesn’t even come close to showcasing the effort that is spent behind the scenes, making sure the car is ready for race day. Photo by Speed Society After a few exciting weeks building and testing, their new ride is a state-of-the-art race car that’s going to shake up the Street Outlaws End Game. Today, it is time to finally see the cars in action and find out who’s got what it takes to leave Vegas with a purse of about one hundred thousand dollars. We have been paying close attention to the builds and it appears that these guys had different ways to build their street cars that will be racing in the Street Outlaws Endgame competition. Photo by Speed Society As fan favorites, Murder Nova and Ryan Martin have extra incentive to do what it takes to stay at the front of the pack. With that, there is certainly a ton of time and money spent to make sure that their cars are on top of its game at any given time. JJ always tries to mention how rich Ryan Martin is and how he has all the money in the world put into his racecars. However, it appears that Ryan Marin and Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington have picked wrong transmission and gearing of their build. And that is about to show once they put up their cars against the competition. Photo by Murder Nova Facebook Kye Kelley being Kye Kelley, went all out for the race part of this build so he has shown up with a car that is not even able to charge its battery, and that puts him a step closer to the grand prize of one hundred thousand dollars than the other guys. Photo by Kye Kelley Racing Just like Ryan Martin and Kye Kelley, JJ figured out this type of show that requires a street build is one of the greatest opportunities that he can make power in great shape and his Gray Goose will show amazing passes.
- Justin Swanstrom Path to The Victory at NPK Tulsa
As the summer comes to a close, we’re happy to say that there are still a couple of months of good racing left. With that said, though, we are about three-quarters of the way through the current No Prep Kings season which has graced us with a ton of awesome action to look back on. Photo by No Prep Facebook With a few weeks off, everyone is ready to see these hot rods light up the racetrack and the score boards. This time, thanks to National No Prep Racing Association, we take a look back to see Justin Swantrom path to the victory at Tulsa Raceway Park. The event that unfolded on the first weekend in August had a ton for fans to really look forward to. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook A rising star in the No Prep Kings series, Swanstrom has taken on the role to build a name for himself. At 26 years old, Swanstrom has raced in a variety of classes, but he has his heart set on No Prep Kings and he’s ready to battle his way into the spotlight. At the time, Swanstrom seemed to be having quite a bit of a string of bad luck. In the event prior to this one, he actually was involved in a pretty catastrophic accident that saw his car taking on heavy damage and even catching on fire. Fans were pretty surprised, though, to see just how quickly Lil Country would be able to turn things around, getting the car repaired and making his way to the very next event just a few weeks later. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook This time, we follow along with the racer as he takes on a couple of very formidable opponents. At first, after a test hit, of course, we watch as Swanstrom goes head-to-head with Chuck Seitsinger and his Mustang. After that, we get to see Swanstrom take on the competitors that some might consider the hardest beat in Kye Kelley and Daddy Dave. Lastly, Swanstrom finds his way next to the viral Camaro from Pat Musi Engine to see who has what it takes to push their way to the finish line first. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Instagram Video by National No Prep Association Youtube Behind the driver, there is a rapidly growing fanbase. Swanstrom has grown his brand on social media and promotes the series as a whole. “The fans are crazy for No Prep Kings and I think that’s the best part about it is because the fans is what keeps it going,” Swanstrom says. “I think No Prep has the best fans out of all racing out there…No Prep is going to continue to succeed and get better and better every year and I hope to be just a little part of it.” Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook
- Justin Swanstrom Wins 2022 NPK Tulsa With NO Points Awarded
2022 NPK Tulsa found Justin Swanstrom winning over Lizzy Musi in the final round on Saturday. This is the first time a screw blown powered car wins the Invitational at NPK race. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook He remains in fourth place because there will be no points awarded for this win. It’s believed that the reason for this no points is due to the recent death of show’s producer Mike Helmann. He passed away right before the show restarts after much-needed seven-week hiatus. Several Street Outlaws stars have made tribute to Helmann, including Ryan Martin, Kye Kelley, Justin Swanstrom and so on. Before the series took a break in July, Justin Swanstrom was tied with Jerry Bird at 210 points. Lizzy Musi is in third place with 230 points, while her fiancé ranks at top 2 with 320 points. Photos by No Prep Instagram Swanstrom and his team have done a lot of testing on his new screw blown combination in order to attack the season full force since the crash at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohanton, Pennsylvania and intake manifold at the New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire. This was Swanstrom’s first final win in NPK 2022 after beating Chuck Seitsinger in Round 1, Kye Kelley in Round 2, Larry Larson in Round 3 and Daddy Dave in semi-finals. Hopefully he will be winning again this year. In the lane next to the Swangang’s Lexus is the New Jersey girl who managed to beat Shawn Wilhoit, the guy that took Ryan Martin out of the picture for this event, so we know that she is trying everything she can in order to deny Swanstrom his first win of the season. Lizzy Musi also has some amazing wins to advance to the final. She defeated Adam Jennings in Round 1, then Birdman in Round 2 and Doc in Round 3. Street Outlaws No Prep Kings will now be off until August 26th and 27th, when the series regroups at Firebird Raceway in Idaho. - Ryan Martin Win Over Daddy Dave In The Great 8 Final
Over the years, we have heard that the success of Ryan Martin is based on his hard work more than anything. This has been repeated numerous times when it comes to testing, and for many, it was the work that he has done in testing that has put him on the top of his game and at the top of the No Prep Kings Championship, last season. As you know, Ryan was truly busy building the small tire car for the 405 races, while at the same time building the small tire car for the Street Outlaws Endgame, so he and his buddy Javy might not have enough time to improve the Gray Fireball Camaro, for the upcoming races. However, beating Jeff Lutz and Lizzy Musi, Ryan tells us that he and that gray car are still pretty fast and advance to final to face Daddy Dave. He sealed the top rank with a win over his fellow 405 competitor at Tulsa Raceway Park. Photos by Fireball Camaro Facebook After winning the Great 8, Ryan once again put everybody on notice that the gray Camaro and Javy are the team to beat and they are once again the fastest car on the property. Overall, Ryan Martin has managed to grab three wins and 80 points so far this year in the Great 8 series and is right behind him in second place by none other than the guy staging in the lane next to him in the final - Daddy Dave, who has 40 points and two event wins. Dave, got to the finals after winning his races against Jerry Bird and Justin Swanstrom in the semi-finals. The fact that he is in the final racing against Ryan tells us all now it is time for him to shine and stop Ryan in his tracks and tell everybody that he is here to get to the top. However, all these things are easier said than done because that gray Camaro is not going to roll over for anybody, so check out the video and see. Video by Upshift360
- NPK Is Back. Tulsa Is Hotter Than Hell
Finally NPK is back this weekend on Friday and Saturday night after much-needed seven-week hiatus. Tulsa Raceway Park is hotter than ever where all top drivers will definitely have fun driving their well-built cars on the streets, doing burnouts, and racing other hitters at the location that they are headed. Before checking out what they are testing and preparing for this event, let's have a look at current Power Adder points position and count of each. Photo by No Prep FAM Facebook Apparently, Nitrous and ProCharger is leading the rank. But things are going to happen. Check out below videos that Kye Kelley, Ryan Martin, Murder Nova, Justin Swanstrom, Jerry Bird, Doc,... are testing and loading up for Tulsa. Video by Kye Kelley Racing Facebook Video by Ryan Martin Facebook Now swapping power adders isn’t something you just do overnight, it takes weeks if not months to properly change over the engine set up, the tune-up, the chassis, and all the fab work. However, Ryan and the team are always willing to put in the long hours to do whatever it takes to win, and they were confident the changes would lead to exactly that. Video by Murder Nova Facebook Video by Justin Swanstrom Facebook Speaking of “new car bugs” it seems Justin and the gang are ready to do it all over again, as they have teased the internet with the news. As they are about to unveil well-built car for the coming event at Tulsa, and word is its packing a screw blower on board!
- Ryan Fellows Death during Filming of Fastest in America
Ryan Fellows, a street racer and cast member of the Discovery series “Street Outlaws: Fastest in America,” has died in a car accident. Photo by TMZ The crash happened just outside Las Vegas early Sunday morning. Ryan was racing another driver in what was the 8th out of 9 races scheduled for the night for the show. Every single one of Street Outlaws episodes comes with a valid warning: “Just because we're dumbasses, don't mean you can be too. So don't do any of the sh*t that we do at home.” This is a reminder that no matter how skillful you are with cars, if you’re pushing the envelope while behind the wheel, accidents become far more likely. Using the proper safety equipment, getting proper training, and racing on a closed course help minimize risk and hopefully lead to a better outcome, but there’s no way to be completely safe. This time, it’s sadly happened with Ryan Fellows. Photo by Ryan Fellows Instagram According to reporting from TMZ, Fellows was driving a gold Nissan 240z, and somehow lost control near the finish line, Ryan's vehicle rolled and caught fire. People reportedly tried to get him out from the car on time. According to a spokesperson for Discovery: “The Street Outlaws family is heartbroken by the accident that led to the tragic death of Ryan Fellows. We extend our deepest sympathy to Ryan's loved ones as they process this sudden and devastating loss.” Ryan was the guy that raced Brian Britt in the green Lamborghini Huracan on the most recent season of Memphis. Ryan leaves behind his wife, Liz, and his two kids, Josiah and Olivia. Many fans of Street Outlaws have expressed condolences to Ryan’s family: “I didn't know him or know he was associated with the show but that doesn't matter. That's so sad man. Praying for his family.” “My heart and prayers go out to Ryan and his family …..” “Hate to see that. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ryan's family.” A Go-Fund Me created for his family reads: “Ryan was an avid car enthusiast and was a road “warrior” in many ways that extended to loves of basketball, cars and business in sales/advertising. He was admired for tenacity and a relentless drive to overcome the challenges before him.” Photo by Go-Fund Me Fellows’ death comes several months after two other racers on the show – husband and wife Jonathan “JJ Da Boss” and Tricia Day – were left with serious injuries following a crash. Some people have shared their thoughts about filming this season in Vegas. It’s believed that there's a bunch of new rules and lots of stuff partially enforced this road was easily one of the most dangerous roads. These racers know the chances that they take and what’s at risk every time they get into one of these cars, but driving by the passion they are willing to risk it all for the love they have for speed. Racers all over America will remember him as a fine professional who came to win on race day.
- Another Kye Kelley's Shocker for Fastest in America
As per Kye Kelley introduced the Ford powered small tire Camaro a week ago on his Youtube channel, this is the car that he and his team started building for End Game and now thrash to get it ready for Street Outlaws Fastest in America filming in Vegas. It’s a 91 Chevy Camaro with a third-gen Ford small block on small tires. He even thought that he is the only person that’s ever put a Ford Motor in a third-gen Camaro so far. He’s not given it a name yet, but fans started calling it “Aww Shocker” “Lil Shocker” “Shockwave” or just "Shocked" because of the Ford motor in a third gen Camaro like Shocker! Video by Kye Kelley Racing Youtube He tested his Ford powered small tire Camaro in Illinois before heading to Vegas for JJ’s Fastest in America on 6th August, then come and get the No Prep Shocker ready to go to Tulsa 8th August. - Lizzy's Back on Grudge Race after Bachelorette Trip
Back to street races after a Bachelorette trip, Lizzy Musi has an amazing grudge race night vs Boddie from Cali team. Photos by Kye Kelley Racing Jermaine Boddie, better known as just Boddie, is a formidable force to be reckoned with. Ever since he first caught the attention of the show's producers back in 2014, Boddie has become an integral member of the Street Outlaws universe and has proven his mechanical skills time and time again. In 2014, Boddie hosted his first annual grudge race, ‘No Excuses,’ which brought out drivers from all over California, and almost a thousand spectators. Soon, his immeasurable driving skills, good heart, and charismatic personality caught the attention of the hit television show Street Outlaws, on which he represented California with his Nova against Daddy Dave. Boddie’s Discovery Channel debut was followed by a race against Birdman of Texas on the street racing television show House Of Grudge. In 2017, Boddie made a return appearance on the 2017 Season Finale of Street Outlaws as part of Team Cali. Lizzy Musi lines her “68 Camaro” up with Boddie’s Jeep Trackhawk for a $4800 grudge race. Photos by Kye Kelley Racing She also showed Norma Jeane, her new 68 Camaro with beautiful wheel set on her Instagram last month. “Here’s some raw street racing action. - Consecutive Wins of Ryan Martin at Houston Raceway Park
NPK 2022: Ryan Martin’s Back-to-back Win at Houston Raceway Park If you follow any No Prep racing, or the TV series No Prep Kings, chances are you have heard of Ryan Martin and his team known as “Fireball Camaro.” Plus, if you have seen any of other previous blogs, you will know that recently this team swapped not one car, but two race cars over to ProCharger supercharger systems to give them the best advantage to bring home money. Well, that hard work has paid off, with Ryan and crew taking home back-to-back wins so far in the 8th event of No Prep Kings. Let’s dive into it… Street Outlaws No Prep Kings star Ryan Martin has won the Great 8 for the third time this season. He defeated Lizzy Musi in the final round at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas. According to a picture and slow-motion video by No Prep Farm, this was a narrow win for Martin. Ryan Martin is doing a burnout (Photo by Fireball Camaro Facebook) Well in front of hundred thousand fans, it became clear round after round that the Fireball team was ready to drive right to the finals past all around 50 competitors. And drive to the finals they did, as they met up with Lizzy Musi and proceeded to do what they do best. Ryan Martin and his new Gray Camaro show us that and this Camaro will be fast as hell, maybe even faster than the previous Fireball Camaro. This was very close race, but at the end Ryan manage to win it. Well done everyone! Great 8 photo finish between Ryan Martin and Lizzy Musi Going into Invitational Round in June 25th at Houston Raceway, the Fireball team had a load of data and knowledge from the previous event. However, one better bet that the rest of the competitors were NOT going to be taking this Camaro lightly. The racing action was even tighter than before as all of the teams have taken everything. This time it was Lizzy Musi again that met Ryan Martin team in the finals. However, as soon as the green bulb was lit, the Fireball Camaro was on a mission to light the bulbs on the other end of the track first. And they did, to make it a $40,000 payout for this event already! Well done Ryan and the crew again!
