According to live feeds, his car caught fire. A man was seen putting a hose inside the hood of Lutz’s GTO. Good to hear Lutz is ok. Hoping there’s not much damage to his car and he can make the next race. We got to say Jeff did a great job of making rounds and getting to the finals. This is Kelley’s second win this season. Kye Kelley Aftershock also won the first points race of the season at Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia. Kelly managed to take advantage of Ryan Martin’s lost in the first round. Winning the last three NPK races, Martin was defeated by Scott Taylor in the Invitational at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minnesota. This is the first time this season Martin could not get out of the first round. He was defeated by Justin Swanstrom, who had experienced an intake manifold backfire, then was eliminated in the second round by Brandon James. Now, Kelly and Martin have 300 points. These two drivers, along with other teams, are going to carry this momentum in to Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, for this weekend’s event.
- Street Outlaws NPK 2022: Ryan Martin Leads The List of Drivers Despite Disaster at Maple Grove
Heading to Maple Grove event after experiencing an intake manifold backfire at Virginia Motorsports Park in late April and winning the season-opener at Palm Beach International Raceway, Ryan Martin almost had a disaster on his hands during the Great 8 against Jerry Bird. He lost control of his Camaro, then came across the track and nearly crashed into the wall. Fireball Camaro (Photo by Fireball Camaro Facebook) He came over in front of Bird, who was able to stop without t-boning Martin. The Oklahoma native was hard on the breaks to prevent his car from crashing. After 5 events at Street Outlaws No Prep Kings, two-time champion Ryan Martin together with his Fireball Camaro has continued his win streak. John Odom has to wait to capture his Street Outlaws No Prep Kings win. He was defeated by Team 405 driver Ryan Martin in the final round on Saturday at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This was Odom’s best performance since he made his debut with the GTR in April His car initially debuted at Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia in the first point race of the season.
