Kye Kelley Second Winning at NPK 2022

Another weekend full of adrenaline and some insane passes from Street Outlaws No Prep Kings crew. The 7th round of No Prep Kings at Brainerd International Raceway saw a tied in the points between Ryan Martin and Kye Kelley. The Mississippi native and Lizzy Musi’s fiancé won the Invitational Saturday at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Kye Kelly did defeat Jeff Lutz in the final round at Brainerd International Raceway. With the win, Kelly received a $40,000 purse.

Jeff Lutz had a problem with his car after the finish line. According to live feeds, his car caught fire.

A man was seen putting a hose inside the hood of Lutz’s GTO. Good to hear Lutz is ok. Hoping there’s not much damage to his car and he can make the next race. We got to say Jeff did a great job of making rounds and getting to the finals.

This is Kelley’s second win this season. Kye Kelley Aftershock also won the first points race of the season at Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia.

Kelly managed to take advantage of Ryan Martin’s lost in the first round. Winning the last three NPK races, Martin was defeated by Scott Taylor in the Invitational at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minnesota. This is the first time this season Martin could not get out of the first round. He was defeated by Justin Swanstrom, who had experienced an intake manifold backfire, then was eliminated in the second round by Brandon James.

Now, Kelly and Martin have 300 points. These two drivers, along with other teams, are going to carry this momentum in to Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, for this weekend’s event.
