  • Justin Swanstrom’s “Prenup” Lexus Gets an All Steel, All Glass Makeover

When it comes to Street Outlaws stars who never shy away from a challenge, Justin Swanstrom is always near the top of the list. His “Prenup” Lexus has already proven itself as one of the most versatile and successful cars in the No Prep Kings world — but now, it’s getting a new twist that has the racing community buzzing. Photo by Justin Swanstrom From NPK Glory to All Steel, All Glass Justin rolled out the Prenup Lexus back in 2021 during Season 4 of No Prep Kings . Once he made it into the main Invitational, he debuted the ProCharged Hemi combination — and it didn’t take long to pay off. That year, he racked up two NPK wins and cemented himself as a serious contender. In 2023, disaster struck when Justin crashed the car. But in true Swanstrom fashion, less than 10 days later, he was back in action — this time with a screw-blown setup. That switch proved deadly fast, delivering wins that same season. Prenup’s winning streak continued across different formats, including small tire events and even radial racing, where Travis Harvey drove it to a massive $200,000 victory at an “I See a Red” shootout last September. Fast forward to this year, and the car is taking on yet another role — competing in the growing All Steel, All Glass class. Photo by Justin Swanstrom A New Challenge with Big Money on the Line The All Steel, All Glass format is gaining serious traction, with two upcoming events offering big payouts. This style of racing adds weight and demands durability, but Justin isn’t backing down. Even with the extra heft, Prenup’s screw-blown powerplant and proven chassis make it a threat in any lane. The Lexus has been a true shape-shifter over the years — big tire racing, small tire racing, radial, no time, and now All Steel, All Glass. It’s rare for a single car to be this competitive across so many different setups, but Justin and his team have found the formula. Part of a Bigger Fleet Justin isn’t putting all his eggs in one basket, either. Alongside Prenup, he’s got three other No Time machines in the stable — Todd Fon’s ride, the “Outdated” 275 car, and the “Moneybag” Pro Mod. Each one serves a different purpose, but all share the same goal: winning big. Photo by Justin Swanstrom What’s Next for Prenup? With the class growing fast and the competition heating up, there’s no doubt that Prenup will be one of the cars to watch. The combination of a top-tier chassis, small tire capability, and that screw-blown horsepower makes it a dangerous entry in any field. When this All Steel, All Glass build finally hits the strip, it won’t just be about making passes — it’ll be about making statements. And if history tells us anything, Justin Swanstrom is about to make another one. At Street Outlaws Talks , we’ll be following every step of Prenup’s new journey, from the final touches in the shop to its first big-money showdown. Buckle up — this Lexus has more chapters left to write.

  • Former Street Outlaws Racers Set to Battle for $125K at ProMod Showdown

The roar of engines and the smell of burnt rubber are about to take over this weekend as some familiar faces from the Street Outlaws world head to the IHRA’s massive $125,000-to-win ProMod race . And let’s be real — with this lineup, fans are in for one wild show. Photo by DragZine IHRA has been stepping up big lately, hosting high-payout events that are drawing in serious talent from across the racing world. This weekend’s ProMod battle is no exception, and a good chunk of the field will be made up of former Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings racers and current Speed Promotions standouts. We’re talking about a stacked roster: Larry Larson, Jimmy Taylor (in a brand-new ride), Disco Dean, Robin Roberts, Brad Eglian, Cali Mills, Cole Pez, Scott Taylor, and Kai Kelley . Several of them are rolling in with NPK-legal setups  — Larson, Disco, Kai, and Brad — ready to prove they can mix it up with the big ProMod hitters. Photo by JTaylor Motorsport  And these aren’t just any cars. Jimmy Taylor is showing up with an Extreme Racing Engines ProMod Camaro  packing twin turbos, already proven to run a jaw-dropping 3.61 at 221 mph . Disco Dean’s been putting his car on a serious weight-loss program after being about 100 pounds over at his last race — and even then, he still ran 3.72  in tough conditions. If the weather’s kinder this weekend, don’t be surprised if Disco dips into the 3.60s. Kai Kelley has been flirting with the 3.60 range as well, though consistency was an issue last time out. Word is, his team’s been working hard to dial things in for a stronger showing. Cali Mills  is on a tear right now, looking completely at home in her new ProMod and consistently running strong. Robin Roberts  also proved he’s got the speed, snagging a No. 1 qualifying spot recently, though his last outing ended early with a first-round loss. Even Brad Eglian is showing signs of stepping it up, and with a little more speed, he could surprise people. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography It’s not just the racers who are excited. The IHRA’s recent push for bigger, better, and more rewarding events has the entire racing community buzzing. Big payouts, competitive fields, and happy racers? That’s a recipe for growth — and it seems like IHRA is heading full throttle in the right direction. This weekend’s ProMod shootout is shaping up to be an all-out horsepower war. From the veterans with proven track records to the new builds hungry for a win, there’s no shortage of storylines to watch. At Street Outlaws Talks , we’ll be keeping a close eye on every qualifying pass, every side-by-side battle, and every upset that might shake up the bracket. One thing’s for sure — with $125,000 on the line and this much talent on the property, the fans are the real winners. Best of luck to all the racers, and let’s see who takes home the big check.

  • Mid-Season Shakeup: NPK Season 8 Standings and What’s Coming Next

Hey Street Outlaws Talks fans — buckle up because things are getting real intense as we hit the back half of NPK Season 8. We’ve officially crossed the halfway mark, and with only three races left, every round, every pass, and every point is starting to matter more than ever. Let’s take a quick look at how the leaderboard is shaping up and what to expect as we roll into the final stretch of the season. Photo by Stat Guy Current NPK Season 8 Standings (Mid-Season Update) Right now, Scott Taylor  is holding strong at the top with 120 points , proving that consistency and horsepower go hand-in-hand. Not far behind is Chris Rankin , sitting comfortably in second place with 100 points . After that, we’ve got a logjam in third — Dean Karns (Stinky Pinky), Kye Kelley, Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington , and Nate  are all tied up with 80 points  apiece. Further down the list, Paige Coughlin  and Jeff Lutz  are locked at seventh, while Cole Pez  and Ryan Martin  share ninth place. And yes — Ryan's lower-than-usual position has caught some attention, but don’t count him out just yet. He’s picking up speed and looking more dialed-in every race. Here’s a look at the rest of the standings: Mike Bowman Dave Mendez Carson Baker Chevy Reeves Kyle Canion Brandon James Tim Brown Jerry Bird Jerry Jansen Alan Buck Mike Henry Kayla Morton Clay Cole And a quick note — Kayla Morton  might be making a return soon! Word is that her car was nearly finished at the last event, so keep your eyes peeled. A comeback could shake things up. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography The Points Game Just Got Serious Here’s where things get spicy. The final three races of the season will not  be your typical 10-points-per-round format. Next 2 races : Points and a half → 15 points per round Final race : Double points → 20 points per round That means a single first-round loss could cost someone the championship — and a first-round win could skyrocket someone from the middle of the pack straight to the top. And since Season 8 is only six races total , compared to past seasons with 14–18 events, every point carries a ton  of weight. One slip-up? It could be over. One perfect weekend? You might be the champ. Next Race: August 15 – Washington Mark your calendars — the next event is coming August 15, and we’re heading to Washington. Now, let’s talk about that track. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Last year, Washington was a wild card. The air wasn’t great, the track surface was unpredictable, and with the open power adder rules, it’s going to be a true test of tuning, driving, and decision-making. No room for error here. We’ll be watching closely to see who adapts and who gets left behind. Final Thoughts This back half of NPK Season 8 is shaping up to be one of the most intense yet . The tight points, high-stakes rounds, and short season mean drivers can’t play it safe anymore — it’s go big or go home. As always, we’ll be keeping you updated with everything you need to know right here on Street Outlaws Talks  — the real voice  of the racing community. Not rumors, not recycled news. Just real talk from the streets to your screen. Be sure to subscribe, drop a comment, and stay locked in for more updates, race previews, and behind-the-scenes stories as we charge toward the championship finish line. Let’s see who can hold on… and who’s about to shake the game up.

  • What Really Happened to Daddy Dave on Street Outlaws?

Daddy Dave, born David Comstock on April 4, 1973, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, is a household name for fans of the Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws . Known for his fearless driving and charismatic presence, he has been a mainstay on the show since its debut in 2013, earning the title of Oklahoma’s number one street racer. However, his journey has not been without its share of dramatic and life-threatening moments, particularly two high-profile crashes that left fans wondering about his fate. This article dives into what really happened to Daddy Dave on Street Outlaws , addressing the crashes, rumors, and his remarkable resilience. Photo by Daddy Dave A Rising Star in Street Racing Daddy Dave’s passion for cars began in his teenage years, starting with his parents’ 1978 Chevrolet Impala. Despite its lackluster performance, he honed his skills and quickly rose through the ranks of Oklahoma’s street racing scene. His breakthrough came with a modified 1996 GMC Sonoma S10 pickup, which he used to dominate races. His friendship with Justin “Big Chief” Shearer paved the way for his appearance on Street Outlaws , where he became a fan favorite, driving iconic cars like the Goliath (a 1963 Chevy Nova) and later the Goliath 2.0 and Fireball Camaro. The 2015 Amarillo Crash: A Brush with Death In August 2015, Daddy Dave was involved in a horrific crash at Amarillo Dragway in Texas during a no-prep race. Driving his beloved Goliath, he lost control shortly after the green light, causing the car to veer right, pivot left, and slam into a concrete barricade. The impact was catastrophic, with the vehicle flipping multiple times in a series of barrel rolls, leaving spectators and crew members in shock. Footage of the crash, widely available online, is unsettling, showing the sheer violence of the incident. Emergency crews rushed to his aid, and Dave was taken to a local hospital. His wife, Cassie Comstock, updated fans via his Facebook page, revealing that he sustained a concussion, severe bruising to his lungs, and significant shoulder damage. Despite the severity of the crash, which left the Goliath beyond repair, Dave miraculously survived. Cassie noted that he was in considerable pain and even experienced short-term amnesia, but the outpouring of support from fans and fellow racers helped him through recovery. Remarkably, other competitors donated portions of their race purse to support him, a testament to his standing in the racing community. Photo by Daddy Dave The 2015 crash sparked rumors of Daddy Dave’s death, fueled by the dramatic footage and the initial uncertainty about his condition. Online forums, including a 2015 thread on NastyZ28.com , saw fans speculating about his fate, with some mistakenly linking the show’s teasers about a “death” to Dave. These rumors were quickly debunked, with clarifications that the show was likely referring to the passing of Farmtruck’s dog, Louise, or other unrelated incidents. Daddy Dave himself put these rumors to rest, returning to racing after a two-year recovery period with a new car, the Goliath 2.0. The 2021 Crash: Another Close Call In 2021, Daddy Dave faced another terrifying incident while racing. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Daddy Dave Racing , he described the crash candidly: “To put it shortly, we had a sh*tty weekend. Right after eight miles, I got loose, turned sideways on me really quickly, and I could not recover it, and we blasted the wall.” The crash damaged his car, but Dave escaped with only minor injuries, leading some to speculate that he might be “indestructible.” He noted that repairs would take a few weeks, as his chassis specialist was booked, but the damage was less severe than initially feared. This resilience further solidified his reputation as a racer who could bounce back from adversity. Photo by Daddy Dave Debunking the Death Rumors Despite the severity of his crashes, Daddy Dave is very much alive. As recently as May 2025, sources like Answers.com confirmed that no credible reports indicate his death, urging fans to rely on official sources like his social media or Daddy Dave Racing  YouTube channel for updates. His active presence on platforms like Instagram (over 500,000 followers) and Facebook (over 1.2 million fans) shows him continuing to engage with fans, sharing updates about his racing career and personal endeavors, such as raising funds for school supplies in Jones, Oklahoma. Life Beyond the Crashes Beyond the track, Daddy Dave has built a multifaceted career. He owns a shop where he customizes cars, a passion that complements his racing. His net worth, estimated at $2 million, reflects his success as a racer, TV personality, and entrepreneur. Married to Cassie since 2013, he is a father to two daughters, though he keeps his personal life relatively private, earning his nickname “Daddy” reportedly due to having children with multiple women, though details remain unconfirmed. His focus remains on racing, with plans to continue competing and filming for Street Outlaws , including its No Prep Kings  series. The Legacy of Daddy Dave Daddy Dave’s story is one of grit, survival, and an unyielding passion for street racing. His ability to walk away from near-fatal crashes in 2015 and 2021, coupled with his return to the top of Oklahoma’s racing scene, has cemented his status as a legend. While the dangers of street racing are undeniable—highlighted by the tragic death of fellow Street Outlaws  racer Ryan Fellows in a 2022 crash—Dave’s story is a testament to resilience. Fans continue to follow his journey through Street Outlaws  and his YouTube channel, where he shares behind-the-scenes insights and updates on his cars, proving that nothing can keep him from the asphalt for long. For the latest on Daddy Dave, check his official social media accounts or tune into Street Outlaws  on Discovery Channel. His enduring presence reminds us why he’s a fan favorite: a racer who defies the odds, time and time again.

  • Why Big Chief’s Legacy Still Haunts the Streets: The Rise, Fall, and Echoes of Justin Shearer

From the first time he lined up under the streetlights of Oklahoma to the moment he disappeared from Street Outlaws without a single goodbye, Justin "Big Chief" Shearer has always been more than just a racer. He was the beating heart of the show. The leader of the list. The face fans knew and trusted. But somewhere along the way, the road twisted—and the Chief many called a hero became a controversial figure at the center of street racing’s biggest split. So what really happened? Why did Big Chief go from the cornerstone of Street Outlaws  to a ghost the show refuses to mention? And why do so many fans still feel like the streets just aren't the same without him? Let’s take a ride through the highs, the heartbreaks, and the lasting shadow of Big Chief. Photo by Big Chief 405 The Beginning: When It Was Real When Street Outlaws  first hit TV screens, it wasn’t about drama, fame, or production tricks. It was raw. Gritty. Unfiltered. The kind of street racing you only heard about in whispers or saw under flickering streetlights. At the center of it all were two friends: Big Chief and Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington. Their brotherhood, their banter, and their bond was  the show. Fans didn’t just tune in for races—they tuned in for them . Chief wasn’t just a racer; he was a leader. He helped organize the top 10 list, giving structure to the chaos and making underground street racing digestible for mainstream audiences. It wasn’t polished, but it was real—and that’s what made it magic. Fame, Friction, and Fading Brotherhood But as the show gained traction, cracks started to form. The chemistry between Chief and Shawn cooled. They stopped appearing together as often. The once-tight-knit crew started drifting apart. Speculation ran wild on social media—was it fame, money, ego, or just the natural wear and tear of years spent under pressure? Behind the scenes, racers began to murmur about the changing vibe. There were whispers that Chief was no longer just a racer, but a puppet master. Some racers suggested he had too much control—over the list, over rules, over who got what spotlight. Fans noticed things, too. Losses didn’t seem to affect Chief’s ranking the same way they did for others. Accusations of favoritism started to surface. Was he playing fair, or playing the system? Photo by Big Chief 405 A Sudden Exit—and Deafening Silence When America’s List  aired and Big Chief was nowhere to be found, fans were shocked. No mention, no tribute, no explanation. It was as if the man who was  the show had never existed. Later, Chief broke the silence. He said he left voluntarily, refusing to be part of a show that wanted more drama and less authenticity. He wanted real street racing—not scripted tension. To many, that sounded like the Chief they knew. A man of principle. But the silence from the other racers told another story. No one demanded his return. Few even acknowledged his exit. It wasn’t just a departure. It felt like an erasure. The Personal Toll As things unraveled professionally, Chief’s personal life also took a hit. His divorce from longtime partner Alicia Shearer sent shockwaves through the fanbase. Not long after, he was seen publicly with fellow racer Jackie Braasch. Rumors swirled. Online attacks followed. Jackie was labeled the "homewrecker." Chief was called out for turning his back on the woman who supported his rise. The once-charismatic leader faded from the spotlight. Fewer races. Less content. A quieter Chief. The Rebuild Today, Chief isn’t trying to make a flashy comeback. He’s building, wrenching, and racing on his own terms through the Midwest Street Cars  YouTube channel. No scripts. No producers. Just raw footage of what he loves most: real cars, real racing, and the occasional real talk. Jackie’s still by his side. Their relationship now seems quieter, more grounded. The online noise has died down. And though he’s no longer on Street Outlaws , he hasn’t disappeared. Photo by Big Chief 405 What Was Lost—and What Remains The newer version of Street Outlaws  has changed. More polished. More produced. Some fans love the evolution. Others feel like the soul of the show disappeared the day Big Chief walked away. He stood for grassroots racing. Fairness. Respect. Things that don’t always fit neatly into the world of high-production reality TV. His departure wasn’t just about leaving a show—it was a stand against what he believed street racing had become. Younger racers now embrace sponsorships, social media personas, and the national spotlight. That’s not necessarily wrong—but it’s different. And it highlights just how far the culture has shifted since Chief's exit. Will He Ever Return? Despite everything, Chief has never trashed the people who turned their backs on him. He hasn’t gone on bitter rants. He’s taken the high road—even when the silence from the others was loud. Some fans still hold out hope for a reunion, even just an acknowledgment of what he meant to the show. A few racers have hinted they’d race with him again under the right circumstances . And that’s the thing—love him or hate him, Chief’s presence still lingers in every list race, in every fan debate, in every burnout echoing down the street. The Final Word Big Chief’s story isn’t a comeback tale. It’s a story of conviction. Of choosing principles over spotlight. Some say he let control and ego get the better of him. Others believe he simply refused to sell out. The truth probably lies somewhere in between. But one thing is certain— Street Outlaws  can’t erase Big Chief. He built it. He was the engine that drove it. And whether he returns or not, his legacy is permanently burned into the asphalt of street racing history. For more deep dives into the legends, controversies, and true stories behind your favorite racers, keep it locked right here on Street Outlaws Talks —where the streets still speak, and the truth still matters.

  • Birdman Off the Track: Love, Loss, and the Life Beyond Racing

In the high-octane world of street racing, few names carry the weight and legend of James “Birdman” Finney . Known for his monster Camaro, fearless driving, and unshakable presence in the No Prep Kings scene, Birdman is more than just a racer—he’s a symbol of grit, resilience, and raw horsepower. But today, we’re downshifting away from burnouts and big tire battles to take a deeper look at the man behind the wheel. Because off the track, Birdman’s story has been just as intense as anything he’s faced in the 660. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports  From Power Couple to Private Roads Let’s rewind the clock to 2018—a pivotal year in Birdman’s life, not just in racing, but in love. Fans will remember Kim Infante , Birdman’s then-girlfriend, who wasn’t just cheering from the sidelines. She was there at the starting line, in the pits, in the hustle. They weren’t just dating—they were a duo. A street racing power couple  that felt untouchable. Social media lit up with photos, event appearances, and heartfelt moments that showed a softer side of Birdman rarely seen under the helmet. But as any seasoned driver knows, even the best runs can come to a sudden halt. By 2020, Birdman and Kim’s relationship hit the brakes. It was abrupt, it was surprising, and it left fans wondering what really happened. Kim eventually took a different road—settling down in Baytown, Texas, marrying someone new, and embracing a quieter, more private life with her two children. For Birdman, the split wasn’t just another curve in the track—it was a head-on emotional impact. He handled it with dignity, never airing dirty laundry or stirring drama. Instead, he spoke with rare vulnerability, saying plainly, “There’s nothing more important to me than Kim and the kids.” That’s not something you say unless the love ran deep. It wasn’t a breakup—it was a chapter ending in heartbreak. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports  Love on Lockdown? Since then, Birdman’s been silent about his love life. For a man who openly shares race footage, injuries, rebuilds, and merch drops, the absence of any romantic updates has been loud. No new faces at the track, no flirty Instagram stories, no winks to a mysterious someone in the background. Just Birdman, his crew, and his Camaro. That’s left fans wondering—is he dating someone in secret? Or has he traded romance for racing altogether? Some believe he might be protecting his heart—and any potential new love—from the glare of the spotlight. Others think he’s simply married to the grind now, pouring everything into staying competitive and keeping his name at the top of the No Prep Kings  leaderboard. Either way, if there’s someone riding shotgun in Birdman’s life right now, they’re doing a damn good job of staying out of sight. The Crash That Changed Everything 2020 didn’t just test Birdman emotionally—it nearly ended his racing career. While filming for Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings , he suffered one of the worst crashes of his life. A devastating impact left him with cracked ribs, a broken hand, and serious injuries that had him laid up in Wyoming Medical Center. Photo by Birdman Racing The community rallied fast, even launching GoFundMe efforts. But Birdman, ever the class act, politely declined the help. “Support me by buying my merch,” he said. That one line summed him up better than any trophy ever could— grit, pride, and self-reliance . And of course, he did what only Birdman can do. He came back. He healed. He rebuilt. And he got back behind the wheel, like the warrior he’s always been. A Racer First, Always Love isn’t easy in this world. Late nights, long hauls, tight schedules, and dangerous tracks don’t leave much room for candlelit dinners and quiet weekends. Being with someone like Birdman requires strength, independence, and a bit of that same wild spirit that fuels him on the line. Maybe that’s why we haven’t seen a new chapter in his love story yet. Or maybe, just maybe, he’s learned to guard what matters most behind closed doors. What we do know is this— Birdman doesn’t fold. He fights. He adapts. He keeps racing . His story—on and off the track—is one of endurance. Of emotional highs and devastating lows. Of rising, even when it hurts to stand. And whether or not love rolls back into his life, you can be sure it’ll have to keep up with one of the fastest, most respected names in the street racing game. Until then, his first love remains asphalt and adrenaline. And that’s something fans of Street Outlaws Talks will always respect.

  • Scott Taylor Brings the Cheeto Back for $125K ProMod Showdown at IHA

Hey there, Street Outlaws fans! There’s something big brewing in the world of ProMod racing, and it’s coming up fast. One of our all-time favorite racers, Scott Taylor, is dusting off the “Cheeto” and getting ready to throw down at the upcoming $125,000-to-win ProMod event hosted by the IHA. That’s right—Scott is bringing the heat, and he’s not alone. At Street Outlaws Talks, we’re always tracking the big moves in the street and no prep scenes, and this race is shaping up to be one of the most exciting of the year. The event, set for mid-December, is already pulling in some serious horsepower and top-tier names from the Street Outlaws world and beyond. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Scott Taylor’s Return to ProMod Form Scott’s Cheeto ProMod is no joke. With a personal best of 3.61 seconds at 206 mph on record, he’s proven time and time again that he’s got what it takes to hang with the best. While conditions at the IHA race likely won’t be as ideal as those at his previous runs—expect warmer weather and a slightly less favorable track surface—it’s still a prep track. And that means fast cars and wild racing. Scott’s ability to adapt to tough track conditions is part of what makes him such a threat. He’s no stranger to rough surfaces, and neither are his fellow Street Outlaws racers. That kind of experience goes a long way when the pressure is high and the prize money is six figures deep. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports  Who Else Is Coming? This race is drawing a stacked field. We’ve got confirmed appearances from: Kye Kelley  – expected to bring his NPK/Speed Promotions legal setup Disco Dean  – always a wild card and a showman Cole Pese  – if he can keep his setup consistent, he’ll be dangerous Possibly Murder Nova  – though it’s not 100% confirmed, fans are hoping And let’s not forget that names like Nate Sayler  and Ryan Martin  are also rumored to be eyeing more ProMod action, either here or in upcoming events. Ryan’s recently built ProMod could turn heads if he brings it to the big stage at something like Drag Illustrated’s World Series of ProMod. The Shift Toward ProMod Power We’ve noticed something lately here at Street Outlaws Talks—more and more former Street Outlaws racers are transitioning to the ProMod scene. It’s a natural evolution. The eighth-mile format, the horsepower, and the competitiveness make ProMod one of the most exciting forms of drag racing today. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports  As these drivers step away from the spotlight of television and back into the raw intensity of real competition, it’s refreshing to see their passion still pushing them forward. These aren’t just TV racers—they’re real racers. And events like the IHA’s $125K ProMod race prove it. What to Watch For Scott Taylor’s car has undergone some serious work to get race-ready, and if it holds together, we could see him put down some low 3.60s. That would be flying  considering the conditions. Kye Kelley’s car has been deadly consistent, and if Disco Dean’s setup is dialed in, we might be in for some serious side-by-side action. Consistency will be key. Several racers are chasing that sweet spot between raw power and control. Anyone who nails it could walk away with the win—and the $125,000 prize. Stay tuned to Street Outlaws Talks  for full coverage before, during, and after the race. We’ll bring you all the behind-the-scenes updates, interviews, and performance breakdowns as this massive showdown unfolds. Make sure to follow us for more in-depth articles, race previews, and everything else from the gritty, unpredictable world of street and ProMod racing. • Gucci Nova Fire & Nate Sayler’s Return: What’s Next for Bad Intentions Racing?

In the ever-intense world of outlaw racing, every weekend brings its fair share of drama, triumphs, and unfortunately—sometimes disaster. This past weekend was one of those hard moments for Nate Sayler and the Bad Intentions Racing team, as their standout hot rod—the iconic Gucci Nova —was involved in a fire. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography At the time of this writing, no official photos or detailed public statements have been released about the extent of the damage. But what we do know is that the incident was serious enough to sideline one of the fastest and best-looking cars in the Speed Promotions  racing series. A live stream is scheduled for 6:00 PM Central Time today on the Speed Promotions Facebook page , where Nate Sayler and team member Chris Michael are expected to break their silence and share exactly what went down. The Gucci Nova: More Than Just a Pretty Face If you’ve followed Nate Sayler's journey at all, you know the Gucci Nova  isn’t just another fast car—it’s a statement. Sleek, aggressive, and dialed in to perfection, the car has been a staple in the Speed Promotions circuit. Fans may remember it from Palm Beach 2022 , where it was running a Hemi paired with twin turbos. Although that event ended with a blown motor, the car itself left a lasting impression—both visually and performance-wise. Since then, the Gucci Nova  has undergone several transformations, including being outfitted with a NAN engine that kept it competitive with the best of them. Nate has been gunning for the top, currently tied for third in the Speed Promotions points standings , which makes this setback all the more disappointing. Photo by Nate Sayler Racing The Fire & Aftermath From what’s circulating among fans and fellow racers, the damage to the Gucci Nova  is not minor. While rumors point to the car being "pretty banged up," there’s still hope that it’s fixable. What’s more important, though, is that Nate Sayler is okay . He reportedly suffered some burns and required a hospital visit, but thankfully, it sounds like he’s recovering and already thinking about what’s next. The Comeback Plan? One of the big talking points ahead of tonight’s live feed is Nate’s potential return behind the wheel of his personal Nova , a car we’ve seen him run in past seasons. This isn’t some second-string backup—it’s a legitimate contender, equipped with a Proline engine  and a history of speed that rivals, if not exceeds, the Gucci Nova . It first showed serious promise back in Season 5 during the Future Class , and it has only gotten faster since. Word is, Nate’s been considering mounting it up on small tires or even radials for some upcoming big-tire or radial races. With three Speed Promotions Outlaw 32 Championship events  still on the calendar, there’s plenty of time—and opportunity—for Nate to make a serious comeback. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Whether the Gucci Nova  is rebuilt or the personal Nova gets brought out of the stable, one thing’s for sure: Nate Sayler isn’t done yet . Our Take at Street Outlaws Talks At Street Outlaws Talks , we don’t just follow the headlines—we live this scene. And anytime a racer like Nate takes a hit and starts planning a comeback before the smoke clears, it says something about the heart behind the horsepower. We’ll be watching closely as this story unfolds, especially during the live update later today. Make sure to follow Speed Promotions on Facebook for the official word straight from the team, and stick with Street Outlaws Talks for the most raw and real updates from the world of outlaw racing.

And today, we’ve got something special to talk about — the return of a true beast. Jeff Lutz is bringing Mad Max, his twin-turbo Pro Mod Camaro, back to the quarter mile, and all eyes are on Norwalk this weekend to see what this car — and driver — can do. Photo by Jeff Lutz Mad Max Is Back If you've been following Jeff Lutz’s career, then you already know this isn’t just any car. Mad Max  is one of the wildest machines Lutz has ever built — a lightweight, purpose-built Pro Mod with a twin-turbo big block Chevy under the hood. Word is, the setup still includes that 540 cubic inch Trick Flow big block, a combination Jeff has trusted for years across multiple platforms. This combo is known to deliver serious horsepower, and with twin 88mm turbos (possibly even bigger), Mad Max is no slouch. Proven Power We’ve seen this car run 5.70s at over 250 mph in the quarter mile before, which puts it in some elite company. And let’s not forget — this isn’t some fresh-out-of-the-shop setup. This car has history. From running Drag Week back in 2015 or 2016 to setting records before Tom Bailey reset the bar, Mad Max has earned its stripes. It’s even seen street action. When the Pro Mods were allowed on the list, Jeff made a splash with it and climbed as high as #3 before Monza, in the sinister split bumper Camaro, knocked him down a peg. Photo by Jeff Lutz A Legacy of Speed What’s cool about Jeff Lutz is that he’s never afraid to push boundaries. Whether it's a ’57 Chevy with a twin-turbo Hemi or a sleek Mustang with a ProCharger setup, Jeff brings the heat every single time. Mad Max may have had its reliability issues in the past, but if anyone can dial it in and make it scream, it’s Lutz. With years of experience, countless builds, and a serious passion for racing, he's not showing up just to make a pass — he's coming to dominate. All Eyes on Norwalk This weekend’s race at Norwalk is going to be a big one. Not only are fans excited to see Mad Max back on the strip, but there’s genuine curiosity about how fast it can go now. Has Jeff solved the gremlins that have haunted the car in recent appearances? Can he top his previous best? Will this car finally show the world what it’s really capable of? Photo by Jeff Lutz We’re betting on yes. So make sure you're tuned in, because this could be a major moment for Jeff Lutz and for fans of high-horsepower, high-stakes drag racing. Here at Street Outlaws Talks, we’ll be watching, cheering, and bringing you the updates as they roll in. Let’s see if Mad Max can tear up the quarter mile once again — and remind everyone why Jeff Lutz is one of the most respected names in the game.

  • Tricia Day’s Triumph: From Tragedy to Legacy in the World of Street Racing

In the gritty world of underground racing, where burning rubber and high stakes reign supreme, legends are forged not just on the street, but in the scars left behind. One such legend is Tricia Day—a name that echoes louder now than ever before in the world of Street Outlaws . For fans of StreetOutlawsTalks.com , Tricia isn’t just JJ Da Boss’s wife or a background character in the Memphis racing scene. She’s a symbol of resilience, a driver who’s earned her stripes not just with speed, but with strength. Photo by Memphis Street Racer JJdaBoss  Back in early 2022, what began as a routine pair race between Tricia and JJ took a horrific turn. The kind of turn that reminds us all that street racing—no matter how much we love it—is never without risk. During a high-speed matchup, tragedy struck when their vehicles collided. JJ’s car erupted into flames, but it was Tricia who bore the brunt of the crash. She was trapped in the wreckage, her injuries severe, and for a moment, the entire racing community held its breath. In a sport where danger rides shotgun every night, this crash shook even the most hardened racers. But what followed was something that showed the true heart of this community. Support, prayers, messages from across the country—racers, fans, and friends alike came together, united in their concern for Tricia. And behind it all, JJ stayed by her side, proving that their bond goes far beyond the strip. Photo by Memphis Street Racer JJdaBoss  Recovery was slow. Painful. Private. For months, Tricia stepped away from the limelight as she focused on healing. Rumors swirled, but her silence only deepened the respect many already had for her. In a sport that often praises noise and bravado, Tricia’s quiet determination spoke volumes. Then came the moment we’d all been hoping for—her return. When Tricia Day finally stepped back onto the track, it wasn’t just a win for her—it was a win for everyone who believes in second chances, in fighting through pain, and in racing not just for victory, but for purpose. Her comeback wasn’t about dominating the field. It was about reclaiming her space, reminding everyone that you don’t  need to be the loudest to be the fiercest. And let’s be clear: Tricia has never been in JJ’s shadow. She carved out her own name with pure grit. From her calm stare at the starting line to her fearless charges down the strip, she proved time and time again that she’s every bit the racer as anyone else in the game—man or woman. That’s why she earned her title: Queen of the Streets . Tricia’s crash also brought real conversations to the forefront. Conversations the Street Outlaws  franchise couldn’t ignore—about safety, about risk, about the very core of what makes this sport so electrifying and  so dangerous. Even with controlled environments and production crews on standby, the truth is, no amount of planning can fully protect racers from what they face out there. Photo by Memphis Street Racer JJdaBoss  Still, Tricia came back. Not in ignorance of that risk—but in full understanding of it. That’s bravery. That’s racing. Her journey didn’t just resonate with fans—it sparked change. Tribute cars, murals, charity events, and safety initiatives all started popping up in her name. She inspired not just racers, but young women who saw someone like them breaking through the noise in a male-dominated world. She wasn’t just standing beside JJ. She was standing on her own  two feet, after nearly losing them. And through it all, JJ and Tricia’s relationship grew even deeper. Fans of Street Outlaws Memphis  already knew they had something special, but this tragedy revealed the raw, unshakable love and loyalty that bound them together—on and off the street. Here at StreetOutlawsTalks.com , we don’t just report on races—we tell the stories behind the wheel. And Tricia’s story is one for the ages. It’s a reminder of what makes this culture tick: passion, perseverance, pain, and pride. Whether you're in the stands, in the garage, or just watching from your screen, Tricia Day’s journey is a powerful reflection of what it really means to be a street racer. It’s not about how fast you get there—it’s about what you’re willing to overcome to stay in the race. So here’s to Tricia. A survivor. A racer. A queen. Her legend is written in tire marks and asphalt scars, and it’s far from over. Stay tuned to StreetOutlawsTalks.com  for more on the racers, stories, and moments that keep this world turning—one heart-pounding pass at a time.

  • Kye Kelley vs. Disco Dean: $125K Showdown Looms as Upgrades Heat Up the Track

Big money, blazing speeds, and high-stakes rivalry — that’s exactly what’s brewing as Kye Kelley and Disco Dean gear up to battle for a jaw-dropping $125,000  payout in less than two weeks. And if the recent race at Milan Dragway was any indication, this showdown is going to be one for the books. Here at Street Outlaws Talks , we’re all about bringing you the latest and most thrilling updates from the world of street and no prep racing, and this one’s got everything — power, progress, and a whole lot of pressure. Photo by Megan Taylor Milan Dragway Recap: Hot Air, Hotter Competition This past weekend’s IHRA Pro Mod event at Milan Dragway threw some tough conditions at the racers. We’re talking over 3,000 ft of density altitude  and 120+ water grains  in the air — conditions that are far from ideal, especially for supercharged and ProCharger combos. Still, both Kye and Disco were able to put down solid numbers. Kye Kelley  clocked a 3.69 @ 201 MPH , Disco Dean  followed closely with a 3.72 @ 198 MPH . Not too shabby considering the air was working against  them. But both drivers bowed out in the second round  of eliminations — not what they were hoping for, but far from discouraging as they look ahead. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Disco Dean: Chipping Weight and Shaving Time Disco's car is getting faster every  time it hits the track. From a 3.77  in his first race to a 3.72  this weekend, the progress is obvious. And with the team putting his car on a serious weight-loss program  (it was about 100 lbs over the class minimum ), we’re expecting even more out of him soon. Right now, they’re aiming to trim down at least 80 lbs  to meet the 2,620 lb minimum  — and they’re determined to do it before the big-money race. That, along with improved tuning and experience, is making Disco a serious threat. One impressive stat? A .924 60-foot  in that heat. In those kinds of conditions, that’s very  respectable. Kye Kelley: Quick but Chasing Consistency Kye’s got the horsepower, no doubt. His car went 3.60s in tough air , which says a lot. But he’s chasing consistency. Word is, he struggled in eliminations, reportedly getting out of the groove and heading toward the wall a couple of times. The speed is there — now it’s about control and repeatability. Still, if he can dial in his setup and clean up those runs, don’t be surprised if he’s gunning for the final round in the upcoming $125K race. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Who Else Is In? While the spotlight’s on Kye and Disco, don’t count out other heavy hitters. Larry Larson  made it to Round 3  this past weekend and looks solid. “Gold Pass”  might show up as well — though his attendance isn’t confirmed just yet. And of course, the steel body NPK cars  are still turning heads. Sure, they share a lot of the same chassis tech as Pro Mods, but that factory-style body gives them that real street car  vibe. It's what makes No Prep Kings so fun to watch — competitive cars that look like something you’d actually  see (and hear) on the streets. Final Thoughts This upcoming race isn't just about a huge payday. It's about proving who can adapt, who can evolve, and who can push their combo to the edge — and beyond. With big names, fast passes, and a tight tuning window, the next two weeks are going to be filled with testing, upgrades, and a whole lot of trash talk. At Street Outlaws Talks, we’ll be watching it all unfold — so stay locked in right here for updates, analysis, and all the behind-the-scenes buzz. This $125K clash is shaping up to be one of the year’s most intense, and we can’t wait to see who takes home the cash... and the bragging rights.

  • Big Chief & Jackie Braasch: Racing, Romance, and a Life Lived in the Fast Lane

In the adrenaline-fueled world of street racing, where engines roar and egos clash under the glow of floodlights, there’s one duo that continues to capture the spotlight both on and off the track: Justin “Big Chief” Shearer and Jackie Braasch. Fans of Street Outlaws know Big Chief as one of the most iconic racers to ever come out of Oklahoma City. But while his fearless driving and deep mechanical knowledge have long earned him respect on the street, it’s his relationship with Jackie that’s added a new layer of intrigue—and admiration—from fans around the world. So, the question still floats around message boards and social media threads: Did Big Chief and Jackie Braasch get married? The short answer? Not yet. But their bond runs deeper than most. Photo by Big Cheif 405 A Racing Legend Meets His Match Justin Shearer, better known as Big Chief, built his racing empire from the ground up. Long before he was a household name thanks to Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws , he was just a kid obsessed with horsepower and the thrill of the race. Over the years, Big Chief became the beating heart of the Oklahoma street racing scene, known for his machine The Crow  and a racing mindset that refused to back down. Then came Jackie Braasch—a racer in her own right and someone who didn’t just support Big Chief’s lifestyle, but lived it too . Raised around racing thanks to her father, Jackie’s path was forged early in junior dragsters and now includes competing in the Super Pro category of the Rocket Brand Race Fuel Bracket Series. Their connection? It wasn’t just about chemistry. It was about a shared obsession  with racing. A Love Story Born in the Pits Big Chief and Jackie reportedly began their relationship in 2017, not long after Justin’s public separation from his former wife, Alicia Shearer. Initially, the couple kept things quiet, letting their connection grow outside the glare of cameras and headlines. But as time went on, their appearances together at tracks, events, and even on Instagram became more frequent—and more telling. Photo by Big Cheif 405 Whether it’s working in the garage, traveling to races, or just enjoying the open road together, Big Chief and Jackie’s relationship has always felt genuine and rooted in something real. For every gearhead out there watching, it’s clear: this isn’t a PR stunt or a surface-level fling. It’s a partnership. Power Couple of the Street Racing World What makes their story stand out is how much they enhance  each other. Jackie isn’t just standing beside Big Chief—she’s tuning engines, driving her own high-powered dragster, and continuing to represent women in motorsports through organizations like Car Chicks. Together, they’re a force. While Big Chief might be the more recognized face thanks to Street Outlaws , Jackie brings her own horsepower—literally and figuratively—to the table. One symbol of their combined passion? Jackie’s 2014 Cadillac nicknamed Caddy Jack , a car capable of blowing through the quarter-mile in just 8 seconds. It’s not just a machine; it’s a statement. And like their relationship, it’s built for speed, endurance, and leaving a lasting impression. Married or Not—They’re All In Despite the years together and the countless photos showing rings or close moments, Big Chief and Jackie have never confirmed a marriage. And honestly? That might just be what makes their bond even stronger. No pressure. No spotlight chase. Just two people who share a garage, a dream, and a deep respect for one another. Photo by Big Cheif 405 They’ve found a rhythm that works for them—balancing public admiration with private protection. In a world where many couples struggle to keep romance and work separate, Big Chief and Jackie have intertwined both seamlessly. It’s not about sacrificing for the other—it’s about growing with  each other. What’s Next for Jackie? While Jackie hasn’t been a regular on Street Outlaws , fans are always hoping she’ll take on a bigger role. Whether it’s in front of the cameras or behind the scenes, Jackie brings something fresh to the show and the broader street racing scene: a female racer with grit, skills, and the respect of her peers. She’s already become a role model for young women in motorsports, and her presence alongside Big Chief continues to raise awareness about gender diversity in the drag racing world. If you ask us here at Street Outlaws Talks, Jackie deserves even more spotlight—because she's not just a racer’s girlfriend; she’s a racer, period. A Relationship Built on Horsepower and Heart So, did Big Chief and Jackie get married? As of now, no official wedding bells have rung. But what they’ve built is arguably even more meaningful—a relationship grounded in mutual respect, shared goals, and a deep love for the racing life. They’ve proven that you don’t need a ring to have a ride-or-die partnership. In a community that thrives on horsepower, nitrous, and fearless late-night showdowns, Big Chief and Jackie Braasch are proof that the strongest connections come from understanding each other’s grind—and cheering each other on through every burnout, every rebuild, and every race day. Whatever the future holds, one thing is for sure: these two are taking every lap of life together, and we at Street Outlaws Talks will be here watching—and cheering them on every step of the way.
