Hey Street Outlaws Talks fans — buckle up because things are getting real intense as we hit the back half of NPK Season 8. We’ve officially crossed the halfway mark, and with only three races left, every round, every pass, and every point is starting to matter more than ever.

Let’s take a quick look at how the leaderboard is shaping up and what to expect as we roll into the final stretch of the season.

Current NPK Season 8 Standings (Mid-Season Update)

Right now, Scott Taylor is holding strong at the top with 120 points, proving that consistency and horsepower go hand-in-hand. Not far behind is Chris Rankin, sitting comfortably in second place with 100 points. After that, we’ve got a logjam in third — Dean Karns (Stinky Pinky), Kye Kelley, Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington, and Nate are all tied up with 80 points apiece.

Further down the list, Paige Coughlin and Jeff Lutz are locked at seventh, while Cole Pez and Ryan Martin share ninth place. And yes — Ryan's lower-than-usual position has caught some attention, but don’t count him out just yet. He’s picking up speed and looking more dialed-in every race.

Here’s a look at the rest of the standings:

  • Mike Bowman

  • Dave Mendez

  • Carson Baker

  • Chevy Reeves

  • Kyle Canion

  • Brandon James

  • Tim Brown

  • Jerry Bird

  • Jerry Jansen

  • Alan Buck

  • Mike Henry

  • Kayla Morton

  • Clay Cole

And a quick note — Kayla Morton might be making a return soon! Word is that her car was nearly finished at the last event, so keep your eyes peeled. A comeback could shake things up.

The Points Game Just Got Serious

Here’s where things get spicy. The final three races of the season will not be your typical 10-points-per-round format.

  • Next 2 races: Points and a half → 15 points per round

  • Final race: Double points → 20 points per round

That means a single first-round loss could cost someone the championship — and a first-round win could skyrocket someone from the middle of the pack straight to the top.

And since Season 8 is only six races total, compared to past seasons with 14–18 events, every point carries a ton of weight. One slip-up? It could be over. One perfect weekend? You might be the champ.

Next Race: August 15 – Washington

Mark your calendars — the next event is coming August 15, and we’re heading to Washington. Now, let’s talk about that track.

Last year, Washington was a wild card. The air wasn’t great, the track surface was unpredictable, and with the open power adder rules, it’s going to be a true test of tuning, driving, and decision-making. No room for error here.

We’ll be watching closely to see who adapts and who gets left behind.

Final Thoughts

This back half of NPK Season 8 is shaping up to be one of the most intense yet. The tight points, high-stakes rounds, and short season mean drivers can’t play it safe anymore — it’s go big or go home.
