It is exciting to witness the development of new rivalries while watching Street Outlaws. Each racer is striving to increase the speed of their customized cars. Though one driver might initially win against their adversary, it is common for the defeated competitor to seek revenge by upgrading their vehicle with a new combination and challenging them again. In this episode of Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, we observe a friendly rivalry between two prominent drivers, Kye Kelley and Justin Swanstrom. Both are highly regarded in the No Prep Kings competition and will compete against each other on the show. During this matchup, Swanstrom informs fans of his love for gambling, prompting the cameras to follow him to set up the race. The stakes are raised with a $500 bet for a grudge race, testing which racer can outrun the other. Photo by Discovery Australia Before the race begins, Swanstrom is presented with a classic conundrum many drag racers face. He seeks to maximize his car's speed to beat his top-tier competitor but fears adding too much power, which could reduce traction and result in losing the race. Photo by Discovery Australia The following race remains thrilling and close up to the finish line. One racer will leave with a win and another with a loss. However, both Swanstrom and Kelley display impressive racing skills, and it appears that each driver has figured out ways to challenge each other on the track. Video by Discovery Australia
- Rules of NPK Season 6 Are Out!!!
Street Outlaws fans are thrilled about the No Prep Kings season 6, and the announcement of the rule book has only heightened the excitement. As usual, the Street Outlaws gang and their community are making preparations to get ready for this upcoming event. Photo by Daddy Dave In a video shared by Reaper, he elaborates on the rulebook and the effects it may have on the competition. Reaper said that the new set of guidelines seems to be designed to even the playing field and that it could result in the elimination of the big-money racers. Reaper believes that the new rules may harshly impact the higher-budget teams that rely on modified or custom-built cars. However, it could level the competition given that everyone will be racing under the same guidelines. His team will adapt to the new guidelines and prepare their car accordingly. Photo by Reaper SS The new rules are expected to result in closer competitions and strategic alterations to vehicles. Reaper says he has gathered a lot of valuable information that will assist his team in constructing a better, more competitive racing vehicle. Having said that, he also revealed that the team has been waiting for the rules to come out so they can test some modifications to the vehicle. Photo by HPP Racing With the new rules released, the No Prep Kings races are expected to be closer and more action-packed than ever before. Fans are eager to see how their favorite drivers will adapt to the rule changes and how the racing community will react to the new set of guidelines. Only time will tell how this new shift will impact the sport and what surprises the NPK Season 6 has in store for us. Video by Street Outlaws Reaper SS
- Big Chief VS Chuck In A Battle Of The Giants
One of the reasons why “The List” by the 405 Street Outlaws OKC crew is so fun to watch is the variety of races that happen every season. The drivers from Oklahoma City always try to make their cars as fast as possible. With that, every season brings new challengers who want to reach the top. Chuck Seitzinger and Big Chief are often in the race for number one. But this year, there are many changes in the field that might shake things up a bit. As the season is still young, both Chuck and Chief want to prove themselves and climb up to the top spot. Photo by Discovery After the first shake-up, though, they ended up in fifth and sixth place with Chief having a slight edge in the rankings. In this scene, we see Chuck calling out Chief with the goal of moving up and taking his place. But Chief has a new setup and he won’t give up his spot easily. He hopes that his new setup will help him get to number 1. Photo by Discovery On the other hand, though, new setups sometimes come with new problems. Even for some of the most experienced racers in the game, it can be hard to just put together some new parts and go. With a new torque converter that Chief is trying out, he’s trying to change the game which might not be simple. By watching the video below, we get to enjoy a scene that is always welcome as two of the big dogs compete with each other to see who has more power. Watching races like this is very interesting and gives us something to look forward to as the storylines continue to develop throughout the latest season of Street Outlaws. Video by Discovery
- Lizzy Musi Made A Pretty Great Save and Got Disqualified!!
Street racing might look like a chaotic sport, but there are actually some strict rules involved depending on where and how one is racing. In fact, many street racers spend a lot of time making sure that the rules are fair and suitable for their racing style. Some even create their own standards for their specific racing format. These rules might also change depending on the location of the race. For Street Outlaws: America’s List, one rule is very clear and obvious. If you cross the centerline when you’re ahead of your opponent, it’s an automatic disqualification. Nothing is more dangerous than two cars racing in the same lane. Also, trying to catch up and pass your opponent when they are right in front of you is definitely something that will slow you down. So, if you’re guilty of crossing over in front of your opponent, it’s an automatic DQ. Photo by Discovery This time, we watch an episode of Street Outlaws: America’s List where Lizzy Musi would end up in such a situation. When racing against Chuck, it looked like Lizzy had a faster car in this race. Unfortunately, though, as she lost control of the car and crossed the whole street, that speed would not lead to a win. Photo by Discovery Down in the video below, we see this scary situation that luckily didn’t end with a crash. Even though Lizzy didn’t win the race, we’re sure that she would rather have this outcome than completely losing control of the car. On another note, that was a pretty amazing save that she made when things started to look like a crash was inevitable. Video by Discovery
- What Is Mike Murillo Doing After Being Diagnosed Stage 4 Lung Cancer
The year 2023 is indeed a tough year for Street Outlaws star Mike Murillo as he had double knee replacement surgery in the early of February, then announced about stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis in March. The diagnosis came as a shock to many fans of the show, where Mike was one of the most popular racers. The news immediately raised questions about what he would do next, both in regards to his health and his status on the show. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing As a result of the diagnosis, Mike has had to undergo some treatments. These treatments can be draining, and it is likely that Mike has had to take time off work to allow himself the necessary rest and recovery time. Despite the challenges, Mike has been maintaining a positive attitude and keeping fans updated on his progress through social media. He has been posting regular updates with his followers, sharing photos of himself and his family, and keeping everyone up-to-date on how he is feeling. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing In one post, Mike wrote: “We have the best fans, friends and family on the planet. Thank y’all for all the prayers and messages sent. Let’s go Racing!”. In some recent posts, he kept us updated about his treatment: “All masses are still shrinking. Lymph node masses are almost gone. The bone that was hurt by the cancer on my spine is already showing it’s healing. Brain scan showed clear again so no more brain scans. Cancer Markers in my blood are “undetectable”! Photo by Mike Murillo Racing It's worth noting that some fans have expressed support and love for Mike, with many rooting for his speedy recovery. While Mike's health is undoubtedly his top priority right now, he still keeps much love for racing. Mike Murillo has been keeping fans updated on his new Hemi combo for the upcoming season 6 of Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. He will be coming out with a S550 Mustang GT500, which is also known as "DethRow". He was the only racer running a big block Ford for a while and now he is switching over to a Hemi by Brad Anderson. This change is a reliable combination at high power level that can handle the high horsepower better. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing In a recent post on social media, he shared some photos that showcased the high-performance engine, which he believes will give him an edge in the competition. Mike has promised to keep fans updated on the progress of his car and engine combo throughout the season, and his followers can't wait to see how he fares. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing
- Behind The Big Chief's Big Crash and The Crow
One of the most significant incidents in Street Outlaws' history was when famed grudge racer, Brian "Chucky" Davis, united with several local racers and journeyed to Oklahoma City to compete against Big Chief and the elite racers of the 405 region. Following an exciting night of racing, the main event was prepared to begin, but Chief and Chucky made jokes about finishing early and departing to their families. Regrettably, they would soon wish they had kept that thought to themselves. Photo by Discovery When the cars took off, Chief had gained the lead of half a car length. However, those familiar with Brian Davis acknowledge that he never gives up. Hence, although his hot rod lost traction, he battled to maintain his lane and pressed down on the accelerator as much as possible. Nonetheless, as lightweight, high horsepower hot rods on slippery surfaces typically do, the car spun out of control, and Davis lost power, causing the car to collide with the driver's backside rear fender of the Crow, resulting in both vehicles being thrown into the distance with tremendous force. Photo by Discovery As Chuck's Mustang mercilessly tumbled down the street, Big Chief and the Crow veered off the floor and turned over and over, eventually stopping in a boulder-lined culvert after rolling over a chain link fence nearby. While both drivers could depart the vehicle independently, Chief was visibly ill at ease, tenderly nursing his back, which still bothers him to this day. Davis, unhurt in the accident, appeared shaken, but was more concerned about Chief's condition than himself or his car. The outcome was ultimately satisfactory, but for a brief moment, spectators at the starting line weren't sure if either driver would make it out of the tragedy alive. Photo by Discovery When we take a look at the actual wreck that took out the Crow, we can feel the tension that’s in the air as the car begins rolling and the relief that comes when we learn that Chief is still alive. Check out the throwback scenario in the video below that shows us the race gone wrong. We can’t help but be happy that Chief would be able to get back behind the wheel again, but this is most definitely a feeling that we don’t want to have to witness again anytime soon. - Big Chief's Freak Incident As He Loses A Door at High Speed
The Monday night edition of Street Outlaws on Discovery Channel saw the popular stars of the show take their street racing skills to the historic Thunder Valley Raceway in Bristol, Tennessee. In a massive no prep race, drivers competed for the $100,000 total purse. Participants included the stars of Street Outlaws New Orleans and some of the biggest names in the world of no prep track racing. Big Chief emerged as the winner, taking home the $60,000 prize, but it was not an easy win. During the eliminations, he faced off against fellow Top 10 List resident Doc in his Street Beast Monte Carlo. Doc is one of the few people who can claim to have beaten Big Chief on the 405 streets. The competition was intense, and the stakes were high as every driver battled it out for the coveted prize money. Photo by Discovery Fans of the show Street Outlaws are well aware of the intense battles that Doc and Chief have had on both the street and the track. Despite Doc's recent run of bad luck on the program, his car remains capable of outrunning almost anyone at any given time. With the Midwest Street Cars crew, Chief had the new Crow finely tuned and ready to take on the tricky Bristol track with hopes that its big rear tires will offer a firm grip while the Butler Performance Pontiac engine exerted full power. Photo by National No Prep Racing Association During their race, Doc appeared to take a more cautious approach, holding back his nitrous flames until he was further down the track. In contrast, Big Chief seized the opportunity at the flash of the green light and charged ahead of Doc. As the Crow widened its lead, the Street Beast began to move towards the center line, which prompted Doc to make a wise decision and shut down his car. Despite crossing the finish line first, Chief's vehicle experienced the bizarre incident of its passenger door flying off and tumbling onto the track. However, Chief continued the race, taping the door back on with duct tape and proceeding to finish eliminations with it in that condition. Yet, this minor inconvenience did not hinder Chief's momentum or motivation as he pursued the ultimate goal-victory and claiming the top spot in the race. Photo by National No Prep Racing Association By watching this video from National No Prep Racing Association, fans of Street Outlaws had a front-row seat to witness the dedication, skill, and drive of both Doc and Chief on the track. Although Chief's vehicle experienced a mishap during the race, he remained undeterred, and it didn't stop him from crossing the finish line first. His unwavering determination showed that in street racing, anything is possible when you're determined to win. Video by National No Prep Racing Association
- The Rumored Feud Between Larry Larson And Jeff Lutz
Street Outlaws is a show that showcases one thing above all: thrilling racing. The sport is very competitive and requires racers to spend years improving their vehicles. Many times, the drivers face each other in intense races to see who’s faster. That’s what the show is about, right? But some of the Street Outlaws stars are not only competitive on the track, but also in their everyday lives. For example, there seems to be a feud between Larry Larson and Jeff Lutz, two of the show’s stars. What is the reason for their dislike of each other? What is behind all the drama? Read on to find out. Street Outlaws fans may have noticed that Larry and Jeff don’t get along very well with each other, unlike other cast members. They are both friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about racing with others, but they have been cold and distant with each other for a long time. Larry and Jeff have raced against each other many times, and the outcome depended on their cars. But they have also exchanged words off the track. A Reddit user revealed some information that explains why Larry and Jeff behave the way they do. According to them, Jeff criticized Larry for supporting “pro mods” at some point, before Jeff himself also used the same controversial modifications to his car, which helped him win Drag Week. Photo by Street Outlaws Live One other user stated that Larry actually won Drag Week five years in a row some time ago, and Jeff was only able to secure his first victory after Larry stopped competing. Photo by Dragzine Beyond their disagreements on how cars should be built, Larry has also allegedly said that he simply just doesn't like Jeff, per another Redditor. Nonetheless, their feud hasn't ever boiled over into any one-on-one verbal or physical engagements. Considering how long of a history Larry and Jeff have in the sport together (for better or worse), it's safe to say that this "cold war" of racers will likely only ever heat up on the pavement.

- This Is The Sickest Truck From Ekstensive Metal Works
There is no dearth of automotive fabrication shops in the United States. While Florida is renowned for Trans Am Depot and Trans Am Worldwide, the people of Texas can vouch for Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is one of the most respected custom automotive design and fabrication shops in the industry. The Texas automotive shop specializes in one-off cars and trucks. Most of these one-off vehicles at Ekstensive Metal Works were once just pieces of rust. The brilliant minds at the Texas automotive shop turn rust wrecks into outrageous, enviable cars and trucks. However, which vehicle is the best of the lot at Ekstensive Metal Works? Which truck trumps all the other vehicles at the Texas workshop? Let's have a detailed look at the sickest truck from Ekstensive Metal Works. A GMC Special Photo by hotcars The sickest truck at Ekstensive Metal Works is a GMC monster. And it doesn't get any better than a mid-2000s GMC beast. If you love trucks, you must be aware of GMC's elite reputation when it comes to pickups and trucks. Ever since its inception, the brand has always specialized in big and bulky vehicles - SUVs, pickups, vans, and light-duty trucks, and more. While today, GMC trucks are offered as a premium alternative to Chevrolet trucks, it wasn't always the case a few years back. The sickest truck at Ekstensive Metal Works is a throwback to 2006: a third-generation Kodiak beast. The Kodiak was quite a rage back in the day and garnered plenty of headlines in the automotive industry. During its reign, the heavy-duty monster was offered in multiple variants: a school bus, a pickup truck, and Cadillac One (a one-of-a-kind Cadillac body mounted on the GMC Kodiak chassis). The Ekstensive Metal Works truck was, of course, a pickup truck variant. Also dubbed as the Isuzu H Series in some parts of the world, the GMC Kodiak pickup truck was offered in multiple engine (diesel and gasoline) and transmission variants. Completely Built By Ekstensive Metal Works What makes this sick truck special is the fact that it has been completely built by Ekstensive Metal Works. The GMC Kodiak 6500 has run a total of 12ok miles. Bill and his team have worked immensely hard and spent a total of over 100k on this monster's parts and build. It features a Dodge bed that has been chopped, stretched, and widened to fit the chassis. The truck features Chevrolet fenders graphed on bedsides. Apart from a spray-in bed liner and a mounted toolbox, the Kodiak 6500's bed features 4 x 10-inch Rockford Fosgate marine speakers in bed. The Kodiak truck has 2 sunroofs and features a custom center console with a built-in 48-quart ice chest that drains through the floor. It boasts newer Denali headlights molded into the front end. The folks at Ekstensive Metal Works channeled the front bumper and installed new flights. The truck has been body-dropped, with full "extensive" air ride and fully custom suspension, including 4 links and wish-bones. Its motor has received recent injector replacements. With 2 air tanks and 4 compressors, the GMC Kodiak can propel to speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour. It can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just about 15 seconds - pretty impressive for a super cool pickup truck that can tow the heaviest of objects and vehicles. This sick truck's interiors were completely redone by Heath Moore 2 years ago. Heath customized the steering wheels with train horns. The truck cabin was reinforced and stretched by a further 2 inches. This super cool truck has also featured on the cover of 8-Lug and Truckin' magazines.
