When it comes to street racing royalty in Memphis, JJ Da Boss is a name that commands respect. But right beside him, carving her own path on the track, is none other than Trisha Day. Despite standing at just 5 feet tall, Trisha has established herself as a formidable racer, earning the moniker of "The Race Queen." While JJ orchestrates Memphis' underground racing scene, Trisha fearlessly grips the wheel, ready to take on any challenge that comes her way.

The Rise of Trisha Day

Unlike JJ Da Boss, who focuses more on organizing and managing races, Trisha is always prepared to jump behind the wheel and prove herself on the track. Racing isn’t just a hobby for her—it’s a way of life. However, despite her skills and determination, Trisha often finds herself overshadowed by her husband’s larger-than-life presence in the street racing community.

Information about Trisha's background is scarce, making her something of an enigma in the racing world. What we do know is that she and JJ come from the same small town just outside of Memphis, a place with a population of fewer than 700 people. Their paths didn’t cross until later in life, when JJ was already in his 40s. It was JJ who introduced Trisha to racing, and she took to it like a natural.

Reflecting on her early experiences, Trisha admitted that her first races weren’t exactly smooth. She wrecked cars and racked up hefty repair bills—something that JJ openly acknowledges. But that didn’t stop her. Through persistence, skill, and a shared love for racing, Trisha and JJ became an inseparable duo both on and off the track.

The Power Couple of Street Outlaws

Trisha and JJ Da Boss’s bond extends beyond racing; they’ve built a life together, raising a family that includes three daughters—Aubrey, Vada, and Anne Line—and a son, Jonathan Wayne (aka JJ Jr.). In addition, JJ has seven other children from previous relationships, a detail that remains relatively private.

Over the years, rumors have swirled about JJ’s relationships with other female racers, particularly Precious Cooper. Some even speculated about an affair, but those claims couldn’t be further from the truth. In reality, Precious trained under JJ for a year before stepping into the racing spotlight. Her connection with Trisha goes even deeper—the two have been friends since childhood, long before Trisha and JJ ever met. Their friendship has only strengthened over time, making them one of the most iconic duos in the racing world.

A New Era for No Prep Kings

Beyond the drama and high-speed action, Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings is undergoing one of its biggest transformations yet. With Speed Promotions Racing taking over, the series is introducing a bold new format aimed at making the competition fiercer and more structured than ever before.

Traditionally, No Prep Kings weekends were jam-packed with multiple racing categories running simultaneously. This included the Grade 8, main event, team championships, outlaw big tire, and locals-only races. While this chaotic format was thrilling, it often left some races overshadowed. Now, the series is taking a different approach by separating events into individual showcases, allowing each race type to shine on its own.

This season will feature a 32-Car Outlaw Points Championship across seven key tracks:

  • Famoso Dragstrip – May 9-10

  • Virginia Motorsports Park – May 30-31

  • National Trail Raceway – June 13-14

  • New England Dragway – June 27-28

  • US 131 Motorsports Park – August 15-16

  • Maple Grove Raceway – September 19-20

  • Undisclosed Location – September 26-27

New Additions: International Showdowns & Big Money Shootouts

One of the most exciting elements of the new format is the Street Outlaws vs. The World series, where top American racers will take on international challengers. These races will be held in Canada at:

  • Toronto Motorsports Park – July 11-12

  • Rad Torque Raceway – July 18-19

  • Mission Raceway Park – July 25-26

Additionally, No Prep Kings is introducing $100,000 Small Tire Shootouts at:

  • Beach Bend Raceway Park, Kentucky – June 20-21

  • Gallot Motorsports Park, North Carolina – October 31-November 1

These high-stakes races are expected to attract some of the biggest names in both big tire and small tire racing, adding even more diversity and excitement to the season.

Why This Change Matters

The restructuring of No Prep Kings has sparked mixed reactions. Some fans love the unpredictability of past seasons, while others welcome the more streamlined approach.

Here’s why this new format could be a game-changer:

  • Better competition – Racers can focus on one format at a time, leading to more intense and strategic matchups.

  • More fan engagement – Spectators can now choose events based on their interests, whether they prefer small tire action, big tire showdowns, or international rivalries.

  • Larger payouts – Instead of splitting prize money across multiple categories in a single event, each race now has its own substantial payout.

  • Stronger storytelling – By separating events, each race builds its own anticipation rather than blending into a chaotic weekend.

What’s Next?

With Trisha Day continuing to make waves on the track and No Prep Kings entering a new era, the future of street racing has never been more exciting. Will this new format elevate the competition, or will fans miss the adrenaline-fueled chaos of past seasons? Only time will tell.

One thing’s for sure: Trisha Day isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and neither is Street Outlaws. So, buckle up and get ready for one wild ride!
